College Library has Kindles full of e-books available for you to borrow!
To reserve one, check our Kindle Calendar and fill out the online Kindle Reservation Form. The Kindles can be picked up at College Library's 2nd floor computer lab for a maximum two-week check-out.
The e-books on our Kindles have been selected to meet undergraduate recreational reading interests. To help build a bigger library of e-books, undergraduate borrowers can suggest up to $20 worth of new e-books to buy from Amazon. College Library will add suggested titles to our permanent e-book collection for you and everyone who borrows a Kindle after that.
You get to read some good books and the library builds a collection of e-books for undergraduates!
Availability
- Kindles are available for checkout to students, faculty and staff.
- Undergraduate students can request $20 worth of new books from Amazon be added to our Kindle collection at each checkout.
- Kindles may be checked out for up to 2 weeks.
- Use our Kindle Calendar to see what dates are available.
Make a Reservation
To reserve a Kindle:
- Check availability on our Kindle Calendar
- Submit a Kindle Reservation Form
Once you've submitted your reservation request, you'll receive a follow-up email within 1 business day.
NOTE: An appointment will be scheduled for picking up your Kindle. If you miss your pickup appointment, you may lose your reservation. Devices returned late are subject to overdue fines.
- You may have no more than two Kindle reservations in our calendar at any time.
- Consecutive Kindle reservations are not allowed. Give someone else a chance!
Pre-Loaded Books
Check out the books that come pre-loaded on our Kindles in Library Thing.
Once you're there, feel free to add reviews, ratings, and links to other book information sites. When you've finished a book, come back to add your own reviews and let other students know what's worth reading.
